Marble Cake

MARBLE CAKE
Hello everyone! Hope everyone is in good health and of course out of STRESS!!  Speaking of STRESS.. if ever you do have to choose between a vanilla cake and chocolate cake, why not put the two together in just one baking pan? Am talking here about marble cake, which am going to share the recipe here. We may think that  marble cake is such a complicated one, but no! Its just actually one batter divided into two, chocolate to be added to the other half, and its the swirling effect that makes this cake different.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
 2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup milk
2 tbsps. cocoa

Procedure:

Preheat oven to 175 degreesC . Grease and flour loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, put in together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and milk. Beat slowly to moisten. Reserve 3/4 cup batter then add cocoa. Place the batter into the loaf pan followed by the cocoa mixture. With a knife, make a swirling motion on the batter. Bake for about 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool, before removing from pan. For serving, you can sprinkle cocoa or powdered sugar on top. Enjoy!!
