Zeytinyağli Taze Fasulye ( Fresh Green Beans in Olive Oil)

Zeytinyağli Taze Fasulye (Fresh Green Beans in Olive Oil)

Ingredients:
 500 gr. fresh green beans
 1 medium onion ( chopped)
2 tomatoes peeled and cubed
1 tsp. tomato paste (optional)
salt (to taste)
1 cube sugar or 1/2 tsp.sugar
red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. olive oil

Procedure:
Wash and clean fresh green beans, you can snap them  or slice them , whichever you would want it. In a cooking pan, add in the olive oil and saute the onions and pinch of salt to soften the onion and refrain from drying up while sauteeing. At this time, you can add tomato paste if you want, and stir well., but if you want to omit tomato paste, you can now add in the fresh green beans and stir for a while., Add in cubed tomatoes and saute for few minutes, add  salt, red pepper flakes and sugar and 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook under low heat, till beans are tender and soft... Cool and serve. This is a vegetarian dish and we usually eat this dish together with yoghurt. Happy eating!! :)
