Etli Nohut ( chickpeas with meat)

ETLI NOHUT ( CHICKPEAS WITH MEAT)
                                                                                     
Ingredients:
1 glass of nohut ( chickpeas)-soaked overnight
250 gms. beef cut into cubes
1/2 tbsp. red pepper paste
1/2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 med. onion - chopped
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
hot water
salt/ black pepper/ red pepper flakes

Procedures:
let's start with our chickpeas...washed and drain the chickpeas that was soaked overnight. In a deep casserole,  put in the chickpeas and add 3 cups of water to cover the chickpeas, and let it boil. Once it starts to boil, lower down the fire and simmer for 2 minutes covered. After 2 minutes, turned off the heat and don't open till you are done now with the meat.
 While the chickpeas is being cook in the casserole, we will begin to do now with the meat. We will be cooking this meal in a pressure cooker:
Step 1. Saute the chopped onions in oil till soft.

Step 2. Add in the cubed beef .

Step 3. When the meat is no longer pink, add in the pastes and stir till well coated.

Step 4. Pour hot water to cover up the sauted meat, cover and cook.
             Till the meat is tender.

Step 5. When the meat is soft, you can now add the cooked chickpeas.
              Add now your seasoning..based on your taste. Cover and simmer
              for 5 minutes. When cook...serve! Enjoy!
